Mud & Noodles: A Night with Danny D’s Mud Shop

Danny D and Woon invite you into the studio to experience the perfect bowl up close before you take it home.

Somm-turned-ceramicist Daniel Dooreck started his studio, DANNY D'S MUD SHOP, out of a garage in Echo Park. Now based in East Hollywood, the shop makes hand-thrown, carved and painted pieces.

Over the next few months, Danny invites friends of the shop to spin a one-off vessel, then craft the dish it was made to hold.

First up is WOON!! True STory: when danny first moved to Los Angeles he’d frequent Woon and park his Land Cruiser in front of the shop and eat noodles out of his trunk. We became fast friends and he actually made us a sweet little Woon Cookie Jar before he started selling his pieces.

The evening will feature a full spread of Woon classics including our Beef Noodles with some off menu features by Chef Paul Reid including a BYODB (Build Your Own Duck Bao), Sesame Gem Salad and dessert. All food will be served with a selection of beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages.
