We’ll be sampling our pork and vegan dumplings at Epicurus Gourmet this Saturday, April 6th starting at 12pm. You can taste and shop Mama’s Frozen Pork and Vegan Dumplings, made in-house daily. You can also shop some of our other Homestyle Goods like Frozen Chewy Noodles, Dried Shiitake Mushrooms, Wok Legend’s Seasoning Salt, Mama’s Way Hot Sauce and Stir Fry Sauce. Woon Bakery Pop Up @ Wine + Eggs ~ Sun. October 23rd
We are so excited to have Woon Bakery pop up at Wine + Eggs in Atwater Village on Sunday, October 23rd from 10am - sell out. We will be offering Chinese baked goods, pan fried dumplings and milk tea. PLUS - shop our homestyle goods and much more at Wine + Eggs. Some of the baked goods we’ll be offering are Bolo Baos, Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Hot Dog Buns, Coconut Lychee Jelly, and much more…all baked in-house by Janine Liu. We will also be cooking up Mama Fong’s pork of veggie pan friend dumplings which are also available to purchase frozen. Last but not least, we’ll have our Woon Milk Tea + Matcha Latte available to grab n go. Hope to see you all there.
Brain Dead x Woon Pop Up ~ April 2 & 3 @ 12-4pm
Here we gooo!!! We’re popping up this weekend with our friends, Brain Dead at Brain Dead Studios Fairfax. We’ll be wok-ing up our chewy noodles + serving up a collaborative menu with Chef Jesse Furman, including Mama Fong’s dumplings in a chili oil broth and Orange Chicken Wings. All the fun is happening Saturday & Sunday from 12-4pm. Hope to see you all there.
Introducing Woon Candles by Special Interest Goods
We are so excited to launch Woon Candles made in collaboration with Los Angeles-based studio, Special Interest Goods. It’s always been a dream of mine to create unique candles, and what better way than to make ones that replicate Woon food.
Each Noodle Ball Candle is molded using our Woon Chewy Noodles made of a santal scented soy wax blend, and hand poured at Special Interest Goods’ Los Angeles studio. The Mini Dumpling Candles are unscented so they make unique birthday cake candles or the perfect gift for anyone who loves miniatures. Each candle is molded using Mama Fong’s handmade dumplings, made of a beeswax blend, and hand poured at Special Interest Goods’ Los Angeles studio. All candles come packaged in a Woon takeout box.
Mama Fong's Fortunate Frozen Dumplings
Every week, Mama Fong comes in to Woon to make hundreds of pork and veggie dumplings. We call them, Mama Fong’s Fortunate Frozen Dumplings. In Chinese, the number “8” sounds like the word for “fortune”. So, we sell 8 dumplings for $8 with an 8 ball sticker, all for good fortune. One day we’ll serve them freshly cooked at Woon, but until then, you can purchase them frozen from Woon, Wine & Eggs, Sara’s Market, and Sightglass Marketplace.
