The Vase Tee by Liz Kim
Made in collaboration with Los Angeles based tattoo artist, Liz Kim. Liz is a Woon regular who lives not too far from us. One day we asked her where she got all her awesome tattoos and she said she did them all herself. It was only natural to commission her to do a piece for Woon. Her antique Asian vase pieces were some of my favorites and reminded me of my grandparent's vase collection growing up. So, we injected a bit of the lotus leaf print that you'll see on our plates and wax paper that we include in to-go orders. In the center, we focused on the Chinese character my mom wrote for 'Woon', meaning bowl in Cantonese. Liz polished it all off with a nice China Blue color that we love so much. Thank you Liz for doing this for us just in time for Lunar New Year!!
